Artist Spotlight: Cal House

Cal House

We Will Make You Dance

Cal House, newcomers from California, are tearing it up with stellar production.  The three tracks below are their original mixes – a lot of talent, here.

Shake Baby Shake (Roby Howler Remix)

Shake Shake BabyMoscow’s Roby Howler puts a dark coat of techno lacquer on Drop The Lime‘s rockabilly-tinged dance track.

If you don’t know Drop the Lime, aka New York’s Trouble & Bass founder Luca Venezia, get familiar.

“Generation 303” ~ Nicky Romero

Generation 303

I’m a big Nicky Romero fan – 2011 was a breakout year for the Dutchman and 2012 promises to be even bigger.  And Acid House just makes me happy (see Guetta’s “Glasgow“).  Grab this one on Beatport.

Must Be The Feeling (Delta Heavy Remix)

The Delta Heavy boys lament the Patriots' Super Bowl loss

London, UK-based Delta Heavy are producing some crushing tracks.  Fresh from UKF Dubstep is their remix of Nero’s bass-disco “Must Be The Feeling” (off of the 2011 instant classic Welcome Reality).  Amping up the bassline and bringing some Dillon Francis laser synth steeze, the duo transform the track into a 110-BPM moombahton smasher.

In another vein, “Quad Bikes” is a dark, sexy monster of a track.

Appreciation (3 Stripes & Troublemaker Edit)

It’s Saturday night. Go dumb.

Artist Spotlight: TON!C

Artist Spotlight: TON!C

Netherlands? Guess again. 20 year old TON!C lives in sunny Los Angeles, USA. Combining elements of slippery Dutch, electro, and progressive (produtchtive), TON!C has an arsenal of original tracks perfect for the dance floor. He even has a whole album–The Sextacy Album. Here are some highlights of all his tracks:

Strange Behavior (Caveat Remix)

Strange Behavior (Caveat Remix) ~ Feed Me

Absurdly talented 16-year-old(!) Caveat just dropped another great complextro remix, following up his stellar entry from Dada Life’s “Happy Violence” remix contest. Expect a lot from the San Diego native in the future.

Breakn’ A Sweat (Zedd Remix)

OWSLA wunderkid Zedd gives us a powerful spin on Skrillex’s “Breakin’ A Sweat” collaboration with The Doors. Traditional Zedd sounds wrapped up in a more mature and fully-realized product. Don’t miss this come February 7th.

Ladi Dadi (Tommy Trash Remix)

Mr. Trash’s remix of “Ladi Dadi” is a heater.  Happy First Friday.
